Why did you choose to go to university?

To learn languages and to go abroad for a year.

Why did you choose the university you are currently attending?

It was close to home, very good for languages and close to the sea.

What does your course involve?

2 years of study at Portsmouth, one year in your chosen language speaking country and then a final year back in Portsmouth.

Why did you choose it?

Because I love languages. I wanted to travel and improve my employability.

What do you hope to do when you leave university?

I'm planning to work for the British Council overseas teaching English.

What are the best bits about university?

Making new friends.

Is it what you expected?

My course is better than I thought.

Was it easy to make the transition from college to university and moving away? Was there anyone to help you?

Scary at first but everyone is in the same position. There is lots of helpful and friendly staff.
