We have moved from the age of the carrier pigeon to a time when we can chat to our friends on the other side of the world at the click of a button via the internet. We have entered the digital age.
We are living in a society that has become dependant on the use of technology and multimedia and there is no better time to get a job in this area.
A course in digital applications will focus on developing skills in ICT and multimedia. This will involve learning how to use different software packages, databases, the internet, email, presentations, spreadsheets and word processing to name just a few!
This could also lead you into careers within the media industry, working alongside all the celebrities that you see in the press and glossy magazines.
Or you could be rewriting the next big computer system to rival those at Microsoft.
Once you have studied digital applications you could move into more ICT specific courses or something completely different and study marketing or even a maths qualification.
The digital applications course involves a lot of work, which is not based on writing essays, or working on paper all day; you will be using up-todate computer systems and new and exciting technical equipment.
